About the Role:
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations across all areas of the club — including bowls, hospitality, events, and customer service. This leadership role requires a proactive, hands-on manager who can inspire teams, drive service excellence, and contribute to strategic planning and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee daily club operations, ensuring exceptional service standards across all departments.
· Manage all operational aspects of the Club with a focus on the gaming floor, bar, food & beverage, and member services.
· Lead, coach, and manage department managers and staff to achieve operational goals.
· Drive gaming performance through effective floor management, promotional strategies, player engagement, and service excellence.
· Implement and monitor procedures to improve efficiency, service delivery, and member satisfaction.
· Oversee rostering, labour management, cash handling procedures, and asset security.
· Monitor and report on key operational KPIs, including gaming revenue, machine performance, and customer satisfaction.
· Support marketing and promotional activities to enhance visitation, gaming turnover, and loyalty program engagement.
· Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, liquor licensing, and club industry regulations.
· Assist in business planning, budgeting, and operational improvement projects as part of the senior leadership team.
· Act as a positive ambassador for the Club, building strong relationships with members, guests, and stakeholders.
About You:
· Proven experience in a senior operational management role within a licensed club, gaming venue, or hospitality environment.
· Strong understanding of gaming operations, including gaming machine compliance, reporting, and customer service best practices.
· Commercial acumen with the ability to drive financial outcomes and operational efficiencies.
· Highly developed leadership, communication, and people management skills.
· Sound knowledge of industry legislation including Liquor, Gaming, and Workplace Health & Safety.
· Ability to work flexibly across a 7-day roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
· RSA, RSG, and RMLV certificates essential.
· Relevant qualifications in Business Management, Hospitality Management, or similar (highly regarded).
