Our client is a small but growing international freight forwarder based near Sydney Airport. Their size means they can offer flexibility and a close-knit culture, where each team member plays an important role.
Right now, they’re looking for a customer service professional with solid airfreight experience – someone who understands the industry and can speak confidently with clients, answer technical questions, and offer tailored freight solutions.
This role is not operations-heavy – you won’t be managing files or running the back-end. Instead, you’ll be focused on quoting, client communication, and making things happen smoothly.
About the Role
This is a frontline, customer-facing role where your airfreight experience will shine. You’ll be the first point of contact for clients needing quotes, updates, or guidance on how best to move their cargo. You'll work closely with the operations and sales teams behind the scenes, but your main focus will be on service delivery, speed, and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to airfreight quote requests and pricing enquiries
- Guide clients on routing options, timelines, and documentation needs
- Provide real-time updates and communicate with clients throughout the shipment process
- Liaise with internal ops teams and external partners to deliver customer expectations
- Proactively manage any issues or delays and offer alternative solutions
What We're Looking For
- Experience in airfreight forwarding (import or export – operations or customer service)
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Ability to quote confidently and explain freight options clearly
- Solutions-focused mindset – you don’t just pass on problems
- A team player who enjoys working closely with others in a small business environment
- CargoWise experience is a bonus but not essential

Competitive salary
$90K + super
Location
Convenient Botany location with street parking
Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm + rostered weekends
