Medical Receptionist – Allied Health Practice
📍 Mitcham, Vic | 🕒 Part-Time (with Full-Time Holiday Cover)

Are you a people person with strong organisational skills and a passion for helping others? We’re looking for a warm, reliable, and professional Medical Receptionist to join our vibrant allied health practice.

About the Role

You’ll be the first point of contact for our valued patients, providing exceptional customer service and supporting a team of 7 dedicated practitioners. Your duties will include:

Managing appointments using Cliniko – booking, rescheduling, and cancellations

Processing Medicare and private health insurance claims via HICAPS

Handling payments and managing busy phone lines

Communicating with GPs, Radiology clinics, NDIS providers, and other healthcare services

Maintaining a tidy, professional reception and waiting area

Assisting the Owner with admin tasks: document prep, correspondence, filing, supply orders

Supporting social media management (Instagram & Facebook) using Canva

Work Hours

Regular part-time hours:

Monday: 8:45am – 7:15pm

Tuesday: 12:45pm – 6:15pm

Wednesday: 8:45am – 5:15pm

Must be available to work full-time hours during staff leave:

End of June to mid-July

End of August to mid-October
This includes covering Thursdays and Fridays.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

Experienced in a medical or allied health reception setting (preferred)

Confident using Cliniko, HICAPS, and general office tech

Friendly, professional, and able to multitask in a busy environment

Strong communicator and team player

Creative with an interest in social media (bonus!)
