We’re seeking a confident, results-driven sales leader to step into a pivotal role as Sales & Business Development Manager. In this role, you’ll lead a motivated team, shape sales strategy, and drive growth across the healthcare sector—particularly with hospital clients.
Our company is a trusted supplier of medical-grade detergents and consumables used in cleaning and sterilisation monitoring across hospitals and dental facilities in Australia. With a growing national footprint and a specialised product portfolio, we are looking for someone who can harness opportunity, build high-impact relationships, and guide a team to success.
Experience in both sales and business development is critical, as you’ll be responsible for expanding existing accounts, opening new opportunities, and leading your team to exceed ambitious targets. This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for someone who thrives on accountability, autonomy, and seeing the direct results of their work.
The Role
As the Sales & Business Development Manager, you will spearhead our sales operations across Australia, reporting directly to the Company Director and working collaboratively with the rest of the team. This hybrid role combines leadership, strategic sales growth, and hands-on team development. You'll focus on driving revenue, building strategic relationships with key customers and C-suite stakeholders, and holding the sales team accountable to performance targets and KPIs.
Key Duties
Lead and manage the sales team, setting KPIs and conducting quarterly reviews
Drive growth through new and existing accounts
Provide in-field coaching and develop sales capability across the team, this requires traveling the country and visiting regional areas on a frequent basis
Analyse sales data, monitor pipeline health, and guide data-driven decisions
Foster customer satisfaction and retention, improving year-over-year performance
Deliver structured reporting and strategic plans to company leadership
Identify market trends and competitive insights to refine sales strategy
Support rollout and adoption of a new CRM system
Collaborate with the product manager to gather market insights, develop impactful go-to-market strategies, and increase market engagement.
Benefits
Base Salary: $110,000 - 120,000 + $18,000 car allowance
Superannuation: in addition to base
Performance Bonus: Up to 5% of new business revenue + stretch bonus for exceeding targets

The Ideal Candidate
You are an experienced healthcare sales professional with strong leadership capabilities and a strategic mindset. You’re passionate about delivering results, growing market share, and inspiring your team to perform at their best.
You will bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Science or Business
Proven success in healthcare sales, ideally within hospitals
In-depth knowledge of Sterilising Departments and/or Operating Theatres ideal but not essential
Experience in corporate engagement and C-suite sales—particularly within procurement frameworks—is highly desirable
Experience in developing and executing growth strategies for SMEs is highly desirable.
Strong public speaking and group facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and educate effectively and confidently
Ability to lead, coach, and hold a team accountable to results
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and follow-through
A self-starter with a positive, "hustle and drive" attitude
Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency and a valid driver’s licence
