About the role:
We are seeking an experienced National Business Development and Sales Manager to join Drake Medox in our Melbourne-based office. Your role will be focused on driving growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities across the healthcare sector. This includes building strategic, consultative relationships with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, as well as close collaboration with operational teams to deliver tailored workforce solutions.
Your key responsibilities:
As a National Business Development and Sales Manager, you will be responsible for building relationships with key decision-makers, winning new business, and expanding existing accounts across both temporary (contingent) and permanent staffing services. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities within the healthcare sector.
- Building strong, consultative relationships with hospital executives, aged care operators, and allied health providers.
- Collaborating with operational teams to develop customised workforce solutions.
- Developing and delivering national growth strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Managing end-to-end sales cycles, from lead generation through to contract negotiation.
About you:
As the National Business Development and Sales Manager, you will have a strong understanding of the healthcare landscape and workforce challenges, as well as demonstrate a clear and compelling communication style. You will also demonstrate the following:
- Proficiency in solution-based selling, understanding client pain points, and offering customised workforce solutions.
- Work seamlessly with internal operational teams to design and deliver viable, high-impact solutions for clients.
- Tenacity to pursue leads and close deals, combined with resilience in the face of setbacks or evolving client demands.
- Manage multiple pipelines, deadlines, and stakeholders while maintaining quality and focus on strategic priorities.
Role Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary education in Business, Business Management or Human Resource Management
- 5+ years proven experience in business development or account management in healthcare recruitment.
- Strong understanding of contingent and permanent workforce models.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and travel interstate as required.
- A strategic mindset with a passion for growing market share and improving client outcomes.
