About the role
Relationships Australia WA is seeking a dynamic Quality Manager – Counselling to lead quality governance across a range of counselling based programs. We are looking for a passionate leader with a strong foundation in clinical practice and a commitment to driving excellence in therapeutic services. This is a key leadership role that supports high-quality service delivery through oversight of clinical governance, supervision practice, data analysis, and continuous quality improvement across multiple locations.
As part of our Services Management Team, you will work closely with Regional and Location Managers, Supervisors, and the broader Quality Team to embed quality standards, support staff development, and ensure services meet contractual and regulatory requirements. Your leadership will help foster a culture of continuous improvement and person-centred practice, aligned with our vision to help people thrive in their communities.
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with at least five years of clinical experience and demonstrated leadership in community-based services. Qualifications and Experience
Tertiary qualification in a clinical practice field (e.g. Social Work, Psychology, or other relevant qualifications) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in clinical practice services.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a management or leadership role.
Demonstrated experience in:
Team management and leadership.
Clinical practice supervision.
Quality management.
Clinical audits and compliance with mental health or social service standards.
Experience with a variety of therapeutic models and services.
Strong knowledge of:
Australian quality standards, accreditation processes, and regulatory frameworks in mental health and community services.
Counselling and community services sector, especially in family therapy, counselling, case management, and supervision.
Culturally appropriate therapeutic approaches for CALD and Aboriginal clients.
Other Requirements;
WA Police Force National Police Clearance (upon required)
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across program locations as required.
Current Working with Children Check
Ability to:
Develop and implement quality improvement strategies.
Interpret data and performance trends to inform service improvement.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse clinical and operational teams.
Lead and mentor staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Resolve conflicts, solve problems, and manage competing priorities effectively.
