The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a WorkCover Payroll Administration Officer to provide a critical role within People, Safety, Culture and Communications.

About the Role
The WorkCover Payroll Administration Officer sits within Safety, Wellbeing and Compliance, a branch within the Department of Justice and Community Safety's People, Safety, Culture and Communications unit. The Safety, Wellbeing and Compliance team is responsible for ensuring the department is meeting its responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004, Accident Compensation Act 1985 and Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013.
The WorkCover Payroll Administration Officer is responsible for coordinating the department's Workers' Compensation payments and providing support to the Senior WorkCover Payroll Administration Officer for the department's obligations to make payments to employees on workers compensation.
As the WorkCover Payroll Administration Officer, some of your duties will include:
- Undertaking WorkCover claim administration and calculation of weekly WorkCover payments.
- Processing all relevant WorkCover payments, including weekly and "Top Up" payments in CHRIS21.
- Entering and maintaining relevant leave records in CHRIS21 / Time Target.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in using the use of payroll systems CHRIS21, including Time Target, is strongly desired.
- Experience in processing workers compensation payments.
Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field is not essential however would be highly regarded.
