About the role:

This role will encompass all aspects of interior + concept design documentation, design + fabrication documentation, and quality control.

The Draftsperson is required to work with management and staff to draft the design concepts that are developed for a project and protect and sustain them through the project stages until the project is finalised.

This role requires product knowledge and extensive attention to detail and ability to work autonomously to complete all tasks and project requirements.

As a member of the Drawing Team, you will work closely with the Project Manager and your Team Leader to co-ordinate your productivity to meet the documentation and administration required to facilitate the company production schedule.

Hours:

Monday-Friday 07:00am-3:30pm.

Roles and responsibilities:

Understand the production processes and products and the administrative and organisational procedures as they relate to the Drawing Team.

Exercise discretion and utilise basic fault finding skills in the course of your work.

Select suitable methods for completing tasks and planning the order in which to complete

them.

Be responsible for the quality of your own work subject to limited supervision.

Exercise good problem solving skills to be able to solve technical construction problems

independently.

Participate in and contribute to work group or team decision making, problem solving and

team operating and initiate resolutions to problems.

Contribute to the continued improvement of Design Drafting team processes, with the

goal to improve productivity whilst maintaining quality of company standards.

Maintain professional, informative and courteous communications with clients and team

at all times.

About you:

You will bring with you a good degree of competency across all phases of design drafting specifically with residential kitchen design. You will have sold CAD skills, be IT savvy and have good understanding of industry standards.

Based on your past experiences you will have a demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines in a quality focussed environment.

You will possess strong written and verbal communication skills with a can do attitude.

Key requirements:

Proven experience using CAD - minimum 2 years experience.

Must have an understanding of RESCODE, Australian Standards for Cabinetry, Australian Building Code and MCP Guidelines

A strong understanding of the residential home building and construction process

Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and deal with a variety of activities and clients at the one time.

Demonstrated ability to work in a customer focused environment Intermediate MS Office skills

Using initiative to ensure quality and efficient work

Work autonomously and demonstrate a strong ability to deliver to expectations of requirements.

Excellent communication both written and verbal
