Design Draftsman/Engineer

Based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne we are one of Australia's largest manufacturers of high-tech apparel handling and conveying equipment, special purpose and textile machinery. We are looking to employ an enthusiastic and talented design draftsman/engineer to compliment the skills of the two directors. The work is interesting and varied with excellent conditions and wages.

Your responsibilities for this key role include:

• Designing and detailing conveyors, machinery and components.
• Liaising with customers and suppliers.
• Ordering material and machine components.
• Quoting and job specifications.
• Supervising work on site and in the workshop.
• Taking an active part in helping to run the company.

Expected Qualifications:

• Associate Diploma, Degree or studies towards either is essential.
• Competent in CAD designing and detailing.
• Excellent mechanical and scientific aptitude.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, electrical and PLC's an advantage.
• Must have good knowledge and hands on skills on computers and all Microsoft Office programs.
