About the role

Coombs Early Learning is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Centre Manager to join our dynamic team in Coombs, ACT. This is a full-time role that will play a crucial part in the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of our exceptional childcare facility.

What you'll be doing

Assisting the Centre Manager in overseeing the smooth running of the centre, including staff management, program delivery, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements

Providing strong leadership and mentorship to the childcare team, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment

Actively contributing to the development and implementation of the centre's educational program, focusing on delivering high-quality care and learning outcomes for children

Building and maintaining positive relationships with families, ensuring open communication and a family-centred approach

Monitoring and reporting on the centre's performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective strategies

Assisting with the centre's administrative tasks, such as budgeting, rostering, and maintaining accurate records

What we're looking for

A relevant tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field

Significant experience (minimum 3 years) working in a supervisory or management role in the childcare industry

Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team

Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement

A deep understanding of the National Quality Framework and all relevant childcare regulations and legislation

A passionate and dedicated approach to providing high-quality care and education for children
