Alivio Tourist Park Canberra is an award-winning property that features more than 150+ cabins and villas and 30+ caravan sites. We are a busy tourist park with a maintenance team of 6 – 8 staff who oversee not only the maintenance of our rooms but also our many facilities that include – 2 x food and beverage restaurants, commercial scale pool and water play space, multiple BBQ areas, a camp kitchen, recreational area including playgrounds and sporting facilities.

Beyond just every day, we also take on landscaping projects, improvements to our operations including fire protection, lighting improvements and organising works that include solar, trade works and guest experience improvements.

The role on offer is our 2IC of our maintenance department. This role, known as Assistant Maintenance Manager, works closely with our Group Maintenance Manager, the park management team as well as organising, directing and overseeing the work of our maintenance team on a daily basis.

We are looking for someone with leadership experience who understands supporting and teaching your team new skills is just as important as being on the tools.

Whilst a trade qualification isn’t essential, having a strong background in a certain vocation would have you well suited to the broad skillset required to be successful in this role. Strong knowledge in all areas of general maintenance is required to be able to guide and assist the team to achieve a high quality of work and do so in an efficient timeframe.

References are a must, work is generally Monday – Friday but weekend work may be required on occasion.
