Medical Receptionist | Part-time | 2 days per week | Tuesday and Wednesday
We have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our patient-focused healthcare team at Complete Feet Podiatry. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates with clarity and warmth, with strong administrative capabilities. As the first point of contact for our patients, you’ll ensure that every interaction is welcoming, supportive, and professional.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and welcome patients
Schedule appointments using Pracsuite software
Answer phone calls and manage inquiries
Process payments, Medicare and private health fund transactions
Manage emails, faxes and clinician’s letters
Administration of incoming referrals
Maintain patient records
Uphold privacy and confidentiality
Keep a tidy and welcoming reception area
Daily infection control and instrument sterilisation
Provide admin support to the Clinicians and Practice Manager
Key Requirements
Experience in a medical or allied health administrative role is essential
Proficient with practice management software (e.g. Best Practice, Cliniko, Genie)
Ability to work independently at a front desk
Understanding of medical terminology
Experience with Medicare, DVA and private health fund billing
Outstanding communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
Excellent time-management and multitasking capabilities
Collaborative, fostering a positive team environment
Commitment to provide an exceptional patient experience
Professional presentation, punctual and reliable
Flexibility to provide shift cover at short notice for annual leave etc.
Available to work up until 7:00pm and during school holidays
