We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join our team in the newly created role of Activities/Welfare Coordinator. Reporting to the Community Manager, this is a great opportunity to take a leading role in the planning and delivery of best practice, engaging and comprehensive well-being and lifestyle programs for our residents.

The key responsibilities in this role include:
· Take a leading role to develop, coordinate and implement lifestyle programs, ensuring the resident’s choices are met and that it acknowledges the individuality of each person.
· Ensure individual social and welfare plans are in place and updated regularly.
· Connect with key community groups who can support activities and events.
· Provide residents with emotional, recreational, and health support, information and advice.
· Evaluate, support and coordinate financial, housing and social welfare resident requirements.
· Work collaboratively with others to ensure effective onboarding programs are completed.
· Identify and participate in improvement opportunities in resident service delivery and contribute to the continuous improvement process.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding KPIs.
Ability to negotiate to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

To be successful in the role, you will have the following:
• A minimum of a Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (Aged Care), or training in diversional therapy, recreation or related discipline.
• Proven track record in a similar role, ideally in a community or retirement village environment.
• Strong experience in creating and leading a lifestyle and welfare program in an aged care environment.
• Senior First Aid Certificate.
• Strong desire and passion with older members of the community.
• Deep knowledge of the Aged Care regulations and compliance standards.
• Deep knowledge of Residents' rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and outcomes.
