We have outstanding opportunities for a Melbourne based Specialist Support Coordinator to join our dynamic team.
This role is unique - We offer a 9 day working fortnight for full-timer staff, and set realistic client engagement expectations. You can work alongside an experienced team of professionals and be provided regular support, supervision, and opportunities for professional development.
About the role
We are looking for experienced professionals with:
Expertise in the National Disability Insurance Scheme and its governing principles.
Demonstrated knowledge of the factors that impact support for people with complex presentations.
An ability to bring together and create synergy with large teams of external professionals.
Skills to engage clients, families and their support team to achieve the client’s goals, whilst keeping the client’s Quality of Life as the central focus.
Strong administration and record keeping skills, including report writing.
Skills to assess a client’s situation and the ability to understand areas that require attention.
About you
You will have the following (Key Selection Criteria):
At least two years experience as a NDIS Support Coordinator, preferably with Specialist Support Coordination responsibilities.
A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, developmental educator, social or health science profession, or a related field is highly desirable.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in disability or community sector management or provision, including coordination (assessment, planning, care coordination and budgets) and understanding the care needs of people within the disability sector.
Demonstrated knowledge or experience in at least one other area of community services, such as Justice, Child protection, formal advocacy or Mental health is highly desirable.
Strong commitment to person-centred care and quality of care, and to the principles of Positive Behaviour Support.
Ability to work autonomously whilst maintaining professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
High level communication and interpersonal skills including computer literacy, written skills, and the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

Australian residents or right to work in Australia.
Working with Children’s check.
Current Driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
Ability to maintain home office requirements.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2020. Individual salary will be negotiated based on relevant qualifications and experience.
