We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join a well-established wholesale supplier based in Dandenong. If you have a background in selling building materials through trade or wholesale channels, this is a great opportunity to take the next step in your career.

ROLE EXPECTATIONS
This role is ideal for a sales professional who understands the trade supply space. Your primary focus will be expanding the company’s footprint and building long-term relationships across the construction and building industry.
You’ll be responsible for:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities across wholesale and trade clients
  • Building strong, ongoing relationships with builders, contractors, plumbers, and retailers
  • Managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing
  • Presenting tailored product solutions that meet client needs
  • Preparing quotes, negotiating terms, and ensuring smooth service delivery
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activity
  • Representing the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings

CANDIDATE EXPECTATIONS
You don’t need to come from bathroom or tapware specifically — if you’ve sold building materials (e.g. plumbing, timber, hardware, roofing, flooring, or similar) and have experience working in wholesale or trade supply, we want to hear from you.
Ideal candidates will have:

  • Proven B2B sales experience in the building materials or construction supply space
  • A strong track record of hitting targets and growing accounts
  • Excellent communication skills and a consultative sales approach
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently
  • A current Australian driver’s license
  • CRM experience is a bonus
