Disability Accommodation Coordinator
Full Time (up to 70hrs per fortnight)
Located on the western side of the Blue Mountains, Lithgow offers the idyllic combination of an industrial, urban and rural lifestyle.
LINC is a not-for-profit community based organisation. We are committed to supporting our community of all ages through programs and initiatives from babies, child and youth programs, community events, disability services, social support, to a range of services for our elderly community.
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic professional to join our amazing and passionate team in the position of Disability Accommodation Coordinator. The purpose of this position is to work collaboratively with participants, and their legal guardian to assist in fulfilling their NDIS core support goal by managing the team and all aspects of the support services provided.
The Disability Accommodation Coordinator provides training, coaching, mentoring and support to embed positive active support across the Disability Services. The position is responsible for ensuring that health and wellbeing objectives, needs and goals of each person receiving the services are met and maintained.

Selection Criteria
• Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Disability Studies, or a related field (minimum Diploma) or relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience including the ability to provide staff with clear sense of direction and inspiring others to perform to the best of their abilities.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in disability sector
• Experience managing restrictive practices
• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to provide expert advice and consultation with staff and other professionals.
• Time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritize.
• Ability to take direction as well as work autonomously.
• Demonstrated ability to work within the scope of the NDIS Practice Standards
• Ability to manage, coordinate and lead during crisis situations
• Experience with Microsoft office, client management systems and rostering systems.
• Current Driver’s Licence, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Clearance
A certificate in leadership or management and experience with handling of emergency situations would be desirable but not essential.
