The Opportunity
Mark My Words is an AI-powered writing-assessment platform that helps teachers deliver instant feedback and track student progress. As an Account Executive you’ll own a defined territory of primary and secondary schools, combining consultative discovery with crisp product demos to show principals, literacy leaders and IT teams how we lift learning outcomes and free up teacher time.
Key Responsibilities
Build pipeline – prospect via phone, email, LinkedIn and education events to secure discovery calls.
Run discovery & demos – unpack each school’s goals, deliver tailored demonstrations and design pilot programs.
Close & onboard – negotiate pricing, guide schools through procurement and hand over to Customer Success.
Forecast & report – keep opportunities up to date in HubSpot and provide accurate monthly forecasts.
Represent the brand – attend conferences and regional principal network events to champion Mark My Words.
What You’ll Bring
2–5 years of full-cycle SaaS or EdTech sales with a history of meeting or exceeding quota.
Success selling $3 k–$10 k ACV solutions to multiple stakeholders in schools.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; you translate features into compelling student-impact stories.
Proficiency with a modern CRM (HubSpot preferred) and data-driven forecasting.
Valid Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain).
