We are seeking a Full Time Maintenance Manager with exposure to a diverse range of equipment and processes that will challenge the right person.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in the development, implementation, and achievement of an agreed Departmental strategy including Breaking Room, Loadout, Maintenance, Production, Quality Assurance and Skins that is aligned to the business strategy with an emphasis on deliverables of own Department.

Ensure compliance with legislation and regulations of the Plant Manager and Company Policy.
Coach and mentor direct reports, supporting them to continuously improve their skills, knowledge, and work performance.
Develop and implement agreed Departmental Policies
Key Tasks
Plan, implement and supervise the preventative maintenance program.
Carry out repair or supervise immediate repair to essential plant and equipment throughout the processing and storage areas, including environmental drainage/disposal systems.
Carry out routine monitoring of the water supply system including checking of water lines, chlorine system efficiency, tank hygiene and water temperature control mechanisms, including immediate corrective action and preventative maintenance, as necessary.
Inspections ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment and machinery.
Responsible for training, sign off and supervision of maintenance workers.
Commit to plant safety procedures, animal welfare and quality assurance relating to maintenance of structures and equipment.
Actively promote safety awareness by ensuring that workers take all steps to prevent accidents and minimize hazards.
Ensure that the Repairs and Maintenance Register (MEX), including outstanding and completed jobs, is always up to date and that jobs are being completed by the set target date.
Carry out or supervise alterations and improvements in existing equipment and building to maximize output, improve safety or minimize breakdowns.
Input into larger project plans- making sure that new facilities/ machinery allows ease of use and maintenance.
Provide engineering and consulting services to production supervision on identified problems and new builds.
Liaise will all workers seeking feedback of production matters.
Implement a program for the calibration of inspection and test equipment.
Overhaul or schedule reconditioning of plant facilities such as machinery, etc.
Keep records of costing, time progress on jobs and corrective actions.
Provide plant protection, including fire protection.
Plan and conduct performance reviews.
Hold regular meetings to ensure that information which is of interest to team members concerning their jobs is conveyed regularly.
Review internal and external audit reports and regulatory authority reports and ensure prompt response to corrective action requests.
