A leading Australian food manufacturer is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations at their site. Reporting directly to the Site Manager, this role is responsible for leading a team, managing plant maintenance, and ensuring operational excellence across a large-scale food processing facility.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and execution of preventative and emergency maintenance
• Manage installation and upgrades of plant, equipment, and infrastructure
• Ensure all maintenance work adheres to safety standards, budgets, and internal systems
• Recruit, develop, and manage maintenance staff
• Oversee contractor performance and manage supplier relationships
• Collaborate with production, distribution, planning, and compliance teams
• Support WHS initiatives across the site
• Maintain compliance with internal policies, HACCP, environmental, and quality systems
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement across maintenance operations

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in a maintenance management role within a manufacturing environment
• Trade qualifications in a relevant discipline
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities, including conflict resolution skills
• Experience managing contractors and working with cross-functional teams
• Strong planning and organisational skills to coordinate maintenance across overlapping shifts
• Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, WHS, and environmental standards
• Ability to use both hard copy and digital maintenance scheduling tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
