Your new company

This is an exciting opportunity for you to work with a global organisation who value their employees' development, skills & knowledge. You will be working in a hands-on strategic position where you have influencing abilities to drive the roadmap for the team and implement your strategic thinking.

As the Maintenance Manager, you will be working for a global market-leading organisation that is passionate about their people and always striving to achieve excellence. No other business does things in the way this one does, and it is proud to do so.

Your new role

As the Maintenance Manager, you will report to the Engineering Manager, working with them to develop the maintenance and engineering site plan. With the company investing heavily in the production facility, it is essential you are part of the growth plans on site. Not limited to the equipment, this investment is in its people, and you will be influential in growing and developing the maintenance team on site.

This role will have a key part to play in building the engineering capability and embedding best practice at the manufacturing site. Along with the fundamentals you would expect in a role of this nature:

Support the Engineering Manager in ensuring plant equipment remains safe, operational, and ready to meet daily production needs.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, key stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Promote open communication with team members and department leaders to promptly address equipment issues.
  • Provide after-hours support for urgent breakdowns or safety and food safety incidents as needed.
  • Lead maintenance activities, including scheduled work orders and planned downtime on Fridays and Saturdays.
  • Manage engineering staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage during both production and non-production hours.
  • Supervise the maintenance team, monitoring performance while providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities.
  • Maintain precise engineering records, including preventative maintenance schedules, machine history, purchase orders, and capital expenditure requests.
  • Oversee critical spare parts inventory to ensure timely procurement and availability.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an experienced Maintenance Manager who has proven leadership skills working for a medium to large production facility across multiple manufacturing lines. Ideally, you will have worked in the food, beverage or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. Consideration will be taken for people who have worked in large production facilities with complex manufacturing processes and great people-leadership skills.

  • Trade qualifications as a minimum (mechanical or electrical)
  • Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement Experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of OH&S regulations and systems
  • Project, CAPEX & Maintenance budget management
  • People & performance management experience
  • Ability to work on Saturdays if and when required

What you'll get in return

Be part of a global organisation with an outstanding reputation. This company is investing heavily in the site and its people. It is an opportunity to make the role your own. The salary remuneration for this role will be based on your experience and the expertise you bring to the role. You will be looking at a salary guide ranging from $150,000 - $155,000 + Super + 10% Bonus.
