THE CLIENT

This co-educational independent school is located in Melbourne's Western suburbs and serves students from Foundation to Year 12. In addition to its main campus, the college operates two other campuses and a camp facility, providing diverse educational experiences for its students.

THE ROLE

• Oversee daily maintenance operations, ensuring efficiency and safety.
• Lead and supervise the maintenance team to deliver high-quality work.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all facilities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and school policies in all maintenance tasks.
• Manage building projects, renovations, and classroom setups in collaboration with external contractors.
• Maintain detailed records of tools, equipment, and maintenance activities.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Proven leadership and team management abilities - Min 5 years ideally
• Trade background with experience in Property Management, Facilities Management or Construction
• Strong communication skills, capable of interacting with staff, students, and external partners.
• In-depth knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) practices and regulations.
• Extensive experience in property maintenance, facilities management, or construction.
• Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Familiarity with maintenance management software and reporting tools.
