As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Workshop Manager to join our team and contribute to the overall success of our company.
The Role
As Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and compliance of our fleet and plant equipment. You will lead a team of maintenance professionals, coordinate servicing schedules, and implement best practices to minimise downtime and maximise equipment availability.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee the maintenance and servicing of mobile plant equipment.
· Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to optimise equipment performance.
· Manage and coordinate maintenance teams, including in-house technicians and external contractors.
· Support technicians and apprentices to deliver the highest levels of quality and safety.
· Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, environmental, and industry regulations.
· Monitor fleet performance, diagnose faults, and implement improvements to reduce breakdowns.
· Work closely with operations and project managers to align maintenance with project needs.
· Control maintenance budgets, procurement, and spare parts inventory.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
· Minimum of 5 years proven experience in plant and equipment maintenance management.
· A trade qualification (Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Fabrication)
· Strong leadership and team management skills
· Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance planning.
· Knowledge of safety and environmental compliance requirements in WA.
· Strong business development and technical knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
· Intermediate IT skills, including Microsoft suite of programs and eg. Teams, SharePoint.
· A National Police Clearance is required.
· Must be able to pass Drug & Alcohol testing.
· Valid Drivers License. HR or MC License desirable.
