Are you a dependable, ethical, and dedicated HR professional looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact? Focus ACT is seeking an experienced Human Resource Officer to join our team.
As a HR Officer at Focus ACT, you will play a vital role in managing the day-to-day HR functions. This position offers a dynamic range of responsibilities, including a recruitment focus, employee relations, compliance, and training.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Staffing
Assist in posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating hiring processes.
Partner with managers to identify staffing needs.
Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation.
Employee Relations
Serve as a resource for Managers on HR-related inquiries and concerns.
Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to improve retention.
Compliance and Reporting
Prepare and submit required HR reports.
Assist in audits and investigations.
Training and Development
Coordinate and conduct training sessions on compliance, onboarding, and employee development.
Recommend programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
Policy Implementation and Improvement
Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
Ensure employees understand and comply with company policies.
Key Requirements:
Formal qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of HR experience with a focus on recruitment.
Strong knowledge of HR legislation, policies, and best practices.
Experience with ELMO software is an advantage.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
WWVP registration (including NDIS activities) and willingness to undertake a national police check.
