Accounts Officer

We are seeking a Part-Time professional and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our team. This is a pivotal role supporting our financial and administrative functions within a leading construction company. We are looking for someone that has a bright and effervescent personality that will add to the energy of our team and our customer base. The right candidate will be able to negotiate the the days and hours worked to help fit in with their lifestyle.

About the Role:

· Manage accounts payable and receivable

· Bank reconciliations and cash flow management

· Prepare monthly financial reports

· Maintain financial records using Xero

· Manage outstanding debtors and follow up outstanding accounts

· Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting as needed

· Build relationships with suppliers, customers and other stakeholders in a professional and service driven way to ensure we are a preferred supplier in our industry

· Be a problem solver and action taker

What You’ll Need:

· Previous experience in an Accounts Officer role (minimum 2 years’ experience)

· Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Office

· Strong financial, administrative, and communication skills

· Excellent attention to detail and time management

· Ability to prioritise tasks and manage work flow

· A willingness to work within a team to achieve monthly goals

· A bubbly and outgoing personality and the ability to pick up the phone and speak to stakeholders directly.

· Construction industry experience (preferred, not essential)
