Newcastle Tile Co has an exciting position for a Part Time & Full-Time Accounts Officer to join our finance team. Immediate start is available working from our head office at Mayfield West with family friendly hours, on-the-job training and opportunity to progress.

We are excited to welcome a new team member into our busy & dynamic accounts team, working collaboratively across all our departments. Newcastle Tile Co are locally owned and have been supplying tile products to the Hunter for over 50 years.

As part of our Accounts Team your day-to-day duties will include:

Accounts payable processing

Reconciliation of supplier statements

Preparation of supplier payments

Reconciliation of Company Credit Cards

Follow up of outstanding Debtors

Payroll processing

Our ideal candidate will have:

Experience in a similar role

Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Ability to manage work within agreed standards & timelines

Strong communication skills & ability to problem-solve

Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel

Cert IV in Finance or Accounting will be highly beneficial but not mandatory

Experience with the following would also be an advantage but not a requirement:

Payroll Tax Calculation & Lodgment

Monthly IAS & BAS lodgments

Assistance with job cost reports and inventory management

Monthly journal entries

Preparation of draft financial reports for management review

Clear-Tile software experience
