Sydney, NSW | Full-Time | $100,000–$120,000 + Super (negotiable)

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced People & Culture Manager to lead the full scope of recruitment, training, and HR functions across our high-performing casual workforce in NSW. This role is integral to building and maintaining a culture of excellence, ensuring our people are skilled, supported, and aligned with our service ethos.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment
Maintain adequate staffing levels to meet daily operational demands
Write and place job advertisements; screen, interview, and onboard candidates
Manage candidate pipelines and recruitment reporting
Maintain accurate applicant records and provide weekly recruitment updates
Represent Stedmans at external recruitment events and drives
Training & Development
Design and deliver engaging training programme's aligned with business needs
Continuously review training content and identify up skilling opportunities
Develop training for specialised areas (e.g. corporate boardrooms, private homes)
Implement a Supervisor Framework and leadership development pathways
Set and publish training dates; maintain accurate schedules and website updates
Human Resources
Manage HR documentation including job descriptions, contracts, and policies
Support staff with coaching, performance discussions, and wellbeing check-ins
Collaborate with senior leaders to drive culture, capability, and retention
Ensure all HR practices meet current legislation and best practice standards
Foster open communication, staff feedback, and a respectful working environment
Service & Quality
Attend events/functions to assess team performance in real-time
Conduct staff briefings and provide performance feedback to operations
Induct new staff into their customer service roles and expected standards
What We’re Looking For:
3+ years’ experience in HR, recruitment, or training – ideally within hospitality or staffing
Demonstrated success in building and managing training programmes
Strong understanding of Fair Work obligations and best practice HR
Exceptional interpersonal and coaching skills with a people-first approach
Experience with HRIS or recruitment platforms (e.g. Employment Hero, JobAdder) is a plus
High attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
