About the Role
As the HR Coordinator, you will be working closely with the leadership team, responsible for recruitment, retention and supporting strategic HR initiatives. This is a hands-on role requiring you to translate HR strategy into practical, everyday operations while fostering a positive and inclusive organisational culture. You will serve as the vital link between management and employees, offering guidance on HR policies and assisting with workforce planning, employee relations, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to support organisational effectiveness.
Manage recruitment, selection, and onboarding of employees and volunteers.
Provide HR advice, including on employee relations, grievances, and performance management.
Support leadership with workforce planning, succession planning, and professional development initiatives.
Administer and support compliance with industrial and award requirements.
Foster a positive workplace culture by leading engagement initiatives, training programs, and wellbeing initiatives.
Support to maintain compliance with all legal and reporting requirements related to HR functions.
Ensure confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion.

You are a proactive and ethical HR professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You thrive in a role that requires both strategic thinking and hands-on problem-solving. Your ability to translate HR strategy into meaningful action makes you a trusted partner to both leadership and staff. Selection Criteria
Knowledge of HR policies, employment legislation, best practices and the SCHADS award.
Experience using HRIS to streamline processes and support workforce management.
Demonstrated experience managing employee relations, recruitment, and performance management.
Proven ability to support senior leaders on HR and industrial relations matters.
Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High level of discretion, ethics, and confidentiality in handling HR matters.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of employment laws and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in partnership with the CEO and leadership team.
Experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus.
Essential Requirements
Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a HR role.
High computer literacy in Windows, Microsoft Office, and HR database systems.
A current Queensland driver’s licence.
Ability to obtain a National Police Check.
Two professional references.

Hourly Rate Range $37.35 - $40.05 based on skills and experience.
Leave loading of 17.5%
