About the Role
As a SAFSS Manager, you will lead a team of dedicated caseworkers, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care to Aboriginal children and young people. Your role will focus on leadership, compliance, and cultural advocacy while working collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, supervise, and support a team of caseworkers to deliver high-quality case management services.
Oversee culturally appropriate case plans and ensure they are updated regularly.
Build strong relationships with children, young people, and families, prioritising their cultural, physical, and emotional well-being.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), ACCOs, and foster carers.
Ensure compliance with OCG standards, CSS, and NDIS requirements.
Conduct regular case audits and provide constructive feedback to caseworkers.
Advocate for the cultural connection and heritage of children and young people in all aspects of service delivery.
About You
You are a compassionate and skilled leader with experience in child protection or out-of-home care. You understand the importance of cultural connection for Aboriginal children and have a strong commitment to SAFSS values and high standards of care.
What We’re Looking For:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Experience in case management or child protection, ideally working with Aboriginal children and families.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and stakeholders.
Knowledge of Aboriginal culture, history, and the importance of cultural connection.
A commitment to upholding SAFSS values and providing culturally safe services.
