Youth Empowered Towards Independence (YETI) is a not-for-profit youth service based in Cairns Far North Queensland. YETI provides drug and alcohol treatment, adolescent-focused family support and practical assistance to young people who might be struggling to make positive connections with family, school, jobs and the community. YETI has 60 staff and is a friendly workplace that embraces cultural and gender diversity and equality.
The Administration Officer provides high-quality administrative support to both the Office Manager and Operations Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the organisation. The role encompasses a range of tasks including HR administration, records management, support for recruitment and onboarding processes, coordination of organisational assets and fleet, and general administrative support across the organisation.
Key Responsiblities include
HR administration including: records management, and support for recruitment and onboarding processes.
Asset and Fleet Management including: coordination of organisational assets and fleet.
General administrative support across the organisation with a focus on maintaining high level operational support.
Selection Criteria
Essential
- Demonstrated experience in an administrative role, ideally with exposure to HR or operational administration.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity.
Desirable
- Experience supporting HR processes or working in a HR environment.
- Knowledge of asset or fleet management systems.
- Experience in a not-for-profit or community services setting.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.
Requirements:
1. Eligibility for a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or exemption based on professional qualifications and registration.
2. A current Qld driver’s licence.
3. Applicants must be eligible to legally work in Australia and proof of eligibility may be requested.
