Salary Package: $260k-$290k Package + Bonus

Role Overview

Due to significant scale-up activity this is a newly created opportunity for a Head of Finance within a fast-growth renewable energy business. The organisation has a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration which will enable this role to efficiently partner with department heads to align financial goals with business strategy.

The role will include both Accounting and FP&A responsibility as well as a focus on improving systems and processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced individual who brings proven depth in leading finance teams through change processes. The Head of Finance needs to be a strong leader and have a strong desire for delivering towards positive change.

Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the CFO, this Head of Finance role will have overall responsibility for financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and internal controls. With a broad remit, the successful candidate will step into a newly created role to support the CFO and lead the Finance team:

• Lead the preparation and delivery of timely, accurate financial statements in accordance with IFRS accounting standards
• Manage the end-to-end financial close process, including consolidation, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting packs
• Coordinate and lead annual audit processes, including the preparation of supporting documentation and liaison with external auditors
• Lead the development of the company's annual budget and multi-year financial forecasts in collaboration with executive and departmental heads
• Monitor and analyse actual financial performance against budget, providing insights into variances and recommending corrective actions
• Drive automation and process improvements across finance operations to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

Additionally, you will drive the development of reporting systems including the back-end completion of an ERP implementation, as well as championing the upgrades, expansions and integrations that enhance the effectiveness of reporting and analytics.

Candidate Profile

You are CA or CPA qualified with deep experience across complex organisations, ideally within Energy, Infrastructure, Consulting or related industries. You are likely a tenured Financial Controller or existing Head of Finance seeking a role where you can make a visible impact. You will have proven background in managing teams and will have demonstrated leadership through increasing the team and systems / finance process capabilities. From a technical standpoint, a breadth of experience across both Controllership and FP&A activities is required for this role.

You will need to be driven to build strong relationships throughout the organisation as you will be partnering with various parts of the business including the group executive team. This position could lead to further mobility within the overall organisation and will ultimately add a series of achievements to your CV.
