Contract Estimator Opportunity (Immediate Start)

About the Company
Our client is a market-leading fit-out and refurbishment contractor in Sydney, specialising in projects ranging from smaller fit-out works through to heavy refurb projects including structures and facade work. Due to an influx of tenders, they are now seeking experienced Estimator for an immediate start to work on a range of tenders in the run up to Christmas.

For the right person, they are open to a hybrid role where you can work from home a couple of days a week, but you would be required to be in the office at times, particularly around the submittal of tenders.

The Role
They looking for an experienced Estimator to join the team on a contract-basis to take the project through to completion, which expected to run through to the end of the year and potentially into 2026.

They are looking for the person to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities

Able to manage tender process independently through to submission

Comfortable working to tender deadlines

Professional and able to work as part of a team

Ability to take tender through to completion with minimal supervision.

Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, and head office.

Proven track record as a Construction Estimator on projects with challenging programs

Trade background or construction management qualifications preferred but not essential

Skills & Experience

Minimum 5 years experience as a Construction Estimator in the Sydney market

Previous experience with Qubit preferred, but CostX would be considered

Previous fit-out and refurbishment estimating experience on projects up to $15m essential

Experience measuring structural trades, facades, concrete essential

Comfortable working to tender deadlines

Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills.

Experience on government projects highly advantageous

Knowledge of local market

Professional, pro-active with a solution-focused attitude
