Estimator Allrounder – Arthaus Projects

At Arthaus Projects (pronounced “art house”), we specialise in project management, estimating, and industry collaboration as a third party company to our Builders and Developers across diverse construction projects. With 15 years of experience and a Women in Construction Award winner at the helm, we take pride in delivering exceptional quality and forging strong partnerships across the industry nationwide.

The Role:

As an Estimator allrounder, you will play an integral role in accurately estimating a variety of construction projects. Working closely with Tara, our Director, you’ll ensure each estimate aligns with project goals and exceeds client expectations. This is not a conventional estimator role – you’ll need to think on your feet, adapt quickly, and operate autonomously with minimal supervision. At Arthaus, we value continuous improvement, so regular feedback and open communication are fundamental to the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide detailed and precise project estimates.

• Collaborate with the project team on budget forecasts, maintaining transparent communication with stakeholders throughout each project

• Analyse project specifications and tender documentation to inform accurate cost projections. Compile Request For Information responses for stakeholders at tender phase

• Review and negotiate contractor and supplier quotes, securing the best outcomes for our builders. Perform contracts administration tasks - Variations, stage claims, reports.

• Maintain up-to-date pricing and cost data

• Actively participate in project reviews and feedback sessions for ongoing improvement

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as an Estimator allrounder in the construction industry, including custom renovations, new builds, commercial, retail, passive house and government projects

• Strong analytical skills, negotiation capabilities, and a high level of attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team

• Adaptability and confidence to pivot and work autonomously, with minimal supervision

• Competence in estimating software, such as BuildXact, Procore, Bluebeam, Wunderbuild, BuildPass and Microsoft Office Suite. Those with tech interest/knowledge encouraged to apply.

• Portfolio of previous work showcasing your experience and skill set

Must be available for calls and zoom meetings throughout the day when projects are due to be presented to the client upon completion.
