As the Foundation enters an exciting new chapter – strengthening foundations, deepening relationships and expanding its impact – the Fundraising Events Specialist plays a key role in driving financial and engagement goals.

About the opportunity
From the annual gala dinner and giving day to fundraising activations and donor events, this role helps bring the Foundation's mission to life.
Reporting to the Fundraising & Campaigns Manager and working in a team of 5, you'll be the in-house events expert, balancing planning with hands-on delivery and supporting colleagues with smaller-scale events with professionalism and flair.
You'll ensure every event delivers an exceptional experience and meets financial and engagement goals.
Key responsibilities include:
develop and execute a 12-month events strategy
plan, deliver and evaluate major fundraising events
end to end project management including briefs to creative and marketing, event promotion and thank you communications
manage budgets, forecasting, contracts and logistics
maximise net income and ROI
personally secure sponsorships, in kind donations and supplier partnerships
collaborate with clinicians, researchers and staff to deliver hospital-based events
guide Foundation colleagues in planning smaller events
ensure compliance, risk and safety
track and report on event performance
represent the Foundation at events including outside of hours as required.
About you
Blending high energy and meticulous planning with creativity, innovation, adaptability, and a commercial mindset, you bring:
a proven track record delivering large-scale events
proven ability to manage budgets, forecasting and ROI analysis
experience securing and negotiating sponsorships and partnerships
strong interpersonal and communication skills
exceptional project management and organisation skills and attention to detail.
You must be willing and able to work flexibly, including early mornings, evenings and weekends for events (time off in lieu available).
