Medical Receptionist / Administrator
Permanent Part-Time
Rate: $40/hr
We are seeking a reliable and professional Medical Receptionist / Administrator to join our small, friendly team on a permanent part-time basis (3 days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). You’ll be the welcoming face of our clinic, providing exceptional service to patients and referrers while supporting our specialists with a variety of administrative and coordination tasks.
This position was initially created to provide maternity leave coverage; however, due to our company's rapid growth, your role will continue beyond that period. As team members return, some responsibilities may be adjusted.

About the Role
As our Medical Receptionist / Administrator, you will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing administrative support, and ensuring a welcoming experience for patients and referrers.
Your duties will include:
Greeting patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
Answering incoming calls, emails, and managing bookings.
Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records.
Processing Medicare and private billings.
Typing and formatting medical reports.
Managing accounts payable and receivable.
Ensuring the clinic is clean, tidy, and well-presented.
Performing general administrative tasks as required.
Coordinating basic IT responsibilities and troubleshooting as needed.
Other duties as reasonably required, within your skills and experience.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as this role involves extensive communication with patients, referrers, and medical specialists.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn new systems.
Experience with Microsoft 365 and MYOB is preferable.
A friendly, professional, and patient-focused manner.
Previous experience in a medical or allied health reception/administration role (preferred).
Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
