About the Opportunity
An appointment is available within the Music Education learning area, with opportunity to teach across all disciplines including Early Childhood Studies, Primary and Secondary teaching. Appointment level will be commensurate with academic research and teaching experience and qualifications preferably at PhD or minimum Masters level.
Appointees will demonstrate a high level of connectivity between the education of pre-service teachers, their own teaching experiences, engagement with schooling and industry sectors, and demonstrated research capability.
About you
Role Requirements
- PhD in a relevant discipline OR
- Substantial progress towards a PhD and professional equivalency which would require demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the relevant discipline curriculum, national learning frameworks and the quality agenda with a research profile evidenced by publications (and demonstrated ability to teach at University level) AND
- An established or emerging track record in quality research and outputs in Education (Field of Research code 39)
- Recent industry expertise, experience, and a strong pedagogical approach to teaching in the Music Education learning area.
The successful applicant should be eligible for Teacher Registration in Western Australia.
