Logistics Coordinator – Livestock Transport

An established and reputable livestock transport business with several decades of industry experience is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Logistics Coordinator to join its Operations Team. This role combines office-based logistics support with hands-on farm and livestock duties, making it an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about both livestock and transport.

About the Role

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will assist the Livestock Operations Team with day-to-day planning, scheduling, and customer service. You’ll be part of a fast-paced environment, helping to coordinate livestock movements while also contributing to general farm duties.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with some rostered weekend and on-call requirements. Full training is provided, and traineeships may be available for suitable candidates.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Administration

Assist the operations team with daily logistics coordination and customer enquiries.

Perform data entry, scheduling, pricing, and general administrative duties.

Support planning and organisation of livestock transport movements.

Farm & Livestock Work

Assist with general farm and livestock duties, including cattle handling, sale yard tasks, machinery use, and feeding routines.

Support feeding operations at onsite facilities.

Occasional travel as required (with all expenses covered).

Skills & Qualifications

Essential:

Current car licence

Computer literacy

Strong communication skills

Highly Valued:

Experience in the livestock sector (e.g., transport driving, feedlot work, dispatch, fleet coordination)

Logistics or operational experience within transport

Accuracy in pricing tasks

Previous leadership or management experience

Personal Attributes:

Strong attention to detail and adaptability

Team-oriented with a customer-service mindset

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Opportunities to obtain a Heavy Rigid (HR) licence may be available. Candidates interested in pursuing a Certificate III in Transport & Logistics are encouraged to apply.
