Job summary

In this role you will:

  • Be part of a collaborative team that works to reduce greenhouse emissions, and drive energy efficiency improvements.
  • Communicating with scheme participants and other stakeholders to ensure the objectives of the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program are achieved.
  • Contribute to a significant change program and largest energy efficiency program in Australia.

Position details

The position is responsible for:

  • Contributing to the development of education and engagement strategies and communications to support compliance with the regulatory framework.
  • Collaboration with strategic communications to coordinate and manage industry and consumer engagement relating to the VEU program.
  • Maintaining relationships within the organisation and a diverse range of external stakeholders to remediate non-compliance and promote compliance.

This is a fixed term position until August 2026 The work location for this position is 570 Bourke Street, Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.

The Essential Services Commission is Victoria's independent economic regulator of essential services supplied by a range of industries. The commission's functions include:

  • making regulatory decisions with respect to prescribed industries (including price determinations, licensing, customer protection and access disputes).
  • undertaking reviews and providing advice to Ministers on a range of economic and regulatory matters.
  • administering the Victorian Energy Upgrades program.
