St George Vascular Laboratory is located at Kogarah, within the Medical Suites of the St George Private Hospital. We are a busy Vascular Surgical service providing both Vascular Sonography and Vascular Consultation services. We are seeking reliable, honest and motivated people to join our high level team.

Essential criteria:
-­‐ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
-­‐ Ability to attend to patients in a professional and courteous manner;
-­‐ Able to work in a multidisciplinary team;
-­‐ Maintain confidentiality;
-­‐ Previous experience working in a busy medical practice or hospital setting;
-­‐ Proven ability to work calmly, efficiently & effectively with attention to detail;
-­‐ Working knowledge of HCN Blue Chip / Medical Director software or similar;
-­‐ Ability to understand medical terminology;
-­‐ Minimum 1-2 years of experience in medical practice or hospital environment required.

Vascular specialty medical terminology knowledge is desirable for this position.

Experience with HCN Blue Chip or Medical Director software is desirable for this position.

Responsibilities include:
-­‐ Answering telephones and making outgoing calls as required;
-­‐ Managing patient appointments;
-­‐ Maintaining patient database;
-­‐ Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence / reports / letters;
-­‐ Filing, scanning, faxing, printing, photocopying and typing;
-­‐ Patient billing and completion of end of day's reconciliations;
-­‐ Liaising with clinical and non-­clinical staff;
-­‐ Assisting Practice Manager with ad-­‐hoc administrative tasks;
-­‐ Preparation and re-­‐stocking of work areas and doctor's rooms.

Employment type:
-­‐ Permanent part‐time employment available Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday.
