We are Videocraft. We spend our days dealing with some of the coolest equipment the TV and content creation industry has to offer. We are offering an excellent opportunity to join our team in an ‘entry level’ position which will provide the successful candidate with an outstanding opportunity to build on your technical/digital media skills and interest, whilst you work closely with an exceptional team of experienced specialist professionals and high quality customers and vendors.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing installation and support in the field for systems and supporting senior engineers and projects
Internal IT maintenance
Technical workshop tasks, including pre-build and testing
Processing of RMAs (returned materials)
Repairs to specified vendor products (including Dejero and Kiloview products)
Set up of our training room in readiness for scheduled training sessions
Provision of technical support to our client base
Assisting with and executing instructions from the Project Delivery Manager during projects and roll outs
Become proficient with internal systems and platforms
Researching and problem solving complex issues
Providing excellent customer service at all times
Contributing positively to our team culture
The desired skills and proficiencies we are looking for include:
Familiarity with edit and post production and storage systems such as Avid, Adobe, DaVinci, Editshare etc
Research and problem-solve complex issues in a systematic way
Apply exceptional attention to detail
Think both analytically and laterally and demonstrate strong time management and organisational skills
Demonstrate confident communication, interpersonal skills and a desire to succeed in all endeavours
Contribute to a strong and collaborative team environment
Possess a working knowledge/understanding of:
Edit and Post Production workflows ideally with: Avid, Editshare, Adobe, DaVinci, EVS
Server maintenance: Windows Server, Linux Server
Client operating systems: Windows, macOS, some Linux
Directory service: Active Directory Domain Services, including Azure AD
Cloud Experience: Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, SharePoint
Virtualisation: VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V
Networking: LAN, WAN, Wireless infrastructure, network security (CCNA ideal)
Data backup solutions: Veeam, LTO infrastructure
Networking and security experience
Scripting: Bash, Python, PowerShell
The following would be highly advantageous:
A passion for technology and, in particular, digital media functions with previous employment experience in the post production industry being highly advantageous
Some experience of video editing applications, preferably Adobe Premiere Pro & Creative Cloud, and Avid Media Composer.
