About the Role
We’re seeking a motivated and adaptable People Operations Advisor to join our team on a parental leave cover. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality advice and support across all HR Operations functions – from recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, to employee movements and compliance.
You’ll be responsible for monitoring and responding to incoming queries through multiple channels and are often the first point of contact for staff seeking general advice on our Enterprise Agreement and policies. You’ll also support the People & Culture Business Partners with day-to-day operational advice and actions. In addition to core activities, you’ll contribute to continuous improvement by supporting projects and initiatives that strengthen our employee and candidate experience.
About You
You’re a motivated HR professional who enjoys variety and values getting the details right. You take pride in providing accurate, timely, and practical advice, and you’re comfortable working within established frameworks and policies.
You will bring:
- Qualifications (or progress toward) in Human Resources or a related field
- Experience in recruitment and/or generalist People Operations functions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service approach
- Strong attention to detail, organisation, and problem-solving ability
- A proactive attitude with the ability to adapt and prioritise in a busy environment

About Mornington Peninsula Shire
