The role:

The Good Crowd have partnered with a boutique but highly established property agency in Melbourne CBD who are looking to recruit an experienced Facilities Manager.

In this role, you will be managing up to 6 B & C grade commercial office buildings that are owned by private landlords who will be looking to you for guidance on hard services, CAPEX projects, asset performance and minor works.

This role reports to the Divisional Director of Property Management known for creating a very tight knit people-first culture amongst his team members ensuring that you career path is considered along the way.

Note – this role is based on-site, 5 days a week in Melbourne CBD.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and build strong working relationships with all stakeholders, including Property Managers, clients, consultants, and contractors, to ensure service delivery excellence and liaise with tenants regarding operational issues
• Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of office facilities, ensuring all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) function efficiently
• Organise, control, and coordinate the operational management of portfolio of CBD office buildings (B & C grade assets)
• Oversee building maintenance schedules, preventive maintenance programs, and emergency response plans.
• Run and manage any fitouts or refurbishment projects required

Who are we looking for?

• 3 years of commercial facilities or building management experience
• Strong knowledge of commercial office building operations
• Forensic attention to detail
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder relationship building skills
• Strong team player who doesn’t mind being on-site and moving around the CBD daily
• Good commercial acumen and understanding of contracts is preferred not essential.
• Ability to work autonomously
