Your Opportunity:
As Facilities Manager, you will be accountable for around five commercial buildings in Melbourne’s CBD. Private landlords own the assets, and you will provide tailored advice and ongoing updates concerning AESMRs, special projects, contractor delivery and performance. Reporting to the Property Director, who works alongside you in the portfolio, means support is at hand if required.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Full accountability for the commercial portfolio's management, presentation, and operations, comprising B & C grade assets.
 - Overseeing reactive and preventative maintenance schedules and organising contractors as required.
 - Building and maintaining strong relationships with the private landlords, and providing technical advice and input to elevate performance and enhance return across the portfolio.
 - Ensuring adherence to AESMRs and other regulatory compliance requirements.
 - Conduct inspections and audits and prepare reports to demonstrate any potential areas of improvement or capital upgrades.
 - Run and oversee refurbishment projects, including scoping and pricing of external contractors and trades.

Your Skills & Attributes:
We require a skilled Facilities Manager who is well-organised and confident in managing small portfolios.
We are looking for:
- A positive, resilient personality, ideally with exposure to building relationships with private landlords.
 - Knowledge of commercial facilities services, which are B or C grade or equivalent, is highly desirable.
 - Initiative and ability to work autonomously across a portfolio of sites and compile robust and sound business cases is preferable.
 - Comfortable with IT and CMMS systems and up-to-date with current legislation and compliance.
 - A team player happy to work in the office and be out on site.
 - A solid black book of contractors, and the capacity to scope work and projects when required.
