About the role
Silvans Facility Services is seeking an experienced Asset and Facility Manager to join our team in Tullamarine, Victoria. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective management of our clients' assets and facilities, ensuring they are well-maintained and compliant with all relevant regulations.
What you'll be doing
Developing and implementing asset management strategies to optimise the performance and lifespan of our clients' facilities
Monitor client PPM budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and track value-adding initiatives
Conducting regular inspections and assessments to identify maintenance requirements and coordinate remedial works
Managing service providers and contractors to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of maintenance and repair services
Manage end-to-end helpdesk and asset management operations, ensuring timely responses and seamless delivery
Lead, coach, and support a high-performing Helpdesk and asset team across multi-site operations
Ensuring all facilities and assets comply with relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
Preparing detailed reports and budgets to track the performance and costs of asset management activities
Collaborating with clients to understand their evolving needs and implement continuous improvements
Contribute to sustainable practices and ensure ESG metrics are integrated into client reporting
Deliver high-quality reporting and drive continuous improvement through innovation and benchmarking
Providing expert advice and guidance to the wider Silvans team on asset management best practices
What we're looking for
Tertiary qualification in Facilities Management, Property Management or a related field
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar asset and facility management role, preferably within the facility management industry
Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing asset management strategies and programmes
Strong knowledge of relevant regulations, codes and standards governing the management of commercial facilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients
Proficient in using facility management software and data analysis tools
Proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving
Proven experience managing large-scale operations with 50+ sites
Willingness to travel to client sites on an as-needed basis
