Full-time, Ongoing role | Facilities Manager
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Facilities Manager to lead and drive the strategic and operational management of the school’s buildings, grounds, and infrastructure across multiple campuses.
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, this role is responsible for ensuring that all MGGS environments are safe, functional, and aligned with the school’s strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the Facilities Team to deliver high standards of safety, presentation, and service.
Manage maintenance programs, minor capital works projects, and contractor registers across all campuses.
Ensure compliance with safety, risk, and environmental standards.
Oversee budgets, contracts, and procurement for facilities operations.
Provide regular building and safety updates via email, briefings, and intranet
Support the smooth delivery of School events and emergency management planning.

You balance strategic oversight with operational delivery and are confident managing budgets, contracts, and capital projects. You build strong relationships with staff, contractors, and external stakeholders, and bring a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset. Key Selection Criteria:
Proven ability to lead facilities operations, capital works, and sustainability initiatives across complex sites
Relevant trade or tertiary qualification in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building, or Project Management.
Experience delivering major projects on time and within budget, with strong resource and contractor management
Sound understanding of building codes, OHS legislation, and regulatory compliance with the ability to implement effective safety systems
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Experience in property inspections, coordinating repairs, preparing tenders, and managing building activities to meet operational and safety needs.

Current Victorian Driver’s License, an Employee Working With Children Check or willing to obtain.
