An exciting opportunity has become available in our Finance Services team for an Administration Officer to join us on a 12-month fixed-term basis. We’re looking for an individual with excellent organisational skills, who has strong attention to detail to review and maintain the data integrity of the City’s Name and Address Register. This is an entry level position and would be ideal for someone wanting to start a career in Local Government.
The other responsibilities of this role will be to:
- Provide administrative support for the Finance Services branch including record keeping, document management, and coordinating team meetings.
- Complete formatting letters, memos, tenders and other documents as required.
- Maintain and update the branch web pages and prepare and upload information to the website in accordance with the City’s style guide
- Manage shared inboxes and resource pools to action or assign customer requests and enquiries relating to the City’s Finance operations.
- Attend to telephone, electronic and counter enquiries relating to rates, receivables, and payables.
- Assist other Finance team functions as required, including leave coverage of Finance Officer positions.

Essential criteria:
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
- Sound time management, planning and coordinating skills.
- Well-developed customer service skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Federal Police Clearance not more than 6 months old at engagement.
Salary package:
In line with the City of Subiaco Inside Staff Industrial Agreement 2025, this position is classified as a Level 3. The salary range is $65,143.52 to $71,656.00 per annum, exclusive of superannuation.
