About Us

Martin & Co Electrical is a fast-growing, family-run electrical business based in Wangara. We’ve grown to 9 vans on the road, with a reputation for top-tier service, a loyal client base and a strong team culture.

We’re now looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take over the day-to-day coordination of our field and office teams so the owner can focus on quoting, growth and strategy.

This is a key leadership role with real impact and a clear path for long-term growth as we continue to scale.

The Role

As Operations Manager, you’ll oversee scheduling, team management, quoting support, systems and compliance. You’ll be the engine room of the business keeping the team running smoothly and supporting both admin and field crews.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule and coordinate jobs across 9 vans, tradesmen and apprentices

Manage daily job flow, staff availability, TAFE days and sick leave

Monitor job progress via ServiceM8 ensure jobs are completed, clean, compliant and profitable

Support the quoting process (review site notes, quote follow-up, variations)

Handle materials ordering, van stock and workshop logistics

Provide leadership and accountability to the team (check-ins, training, reviews)

Organise quarterly team events and maintain a strong team culture

Oversee SWMS, JSAs and safety compliance

Liaise with the admin team and ensure invoicing and scheduling are accurate

Weekly check-ins and reporting with the Managing Director

What You’ll Need

Experience in an operations/supervisor role in the electrical or trades sector

Confidence managing 8–10+ field staff and handling scheduling/logistics

Strong understanding of quoting, profit margins and customer service

Great communicator can motivate the team, speak with clients and keep jobs moving

A can-do attitude, calm under pressure and systems-focused

Comfortable with ServiceM8 (or similar) and standard quoting tools

WA electrical knowledge or background
