As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a capable and enthusiastic Finance Support Officer to join our Admin Team and play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of our day-to-day business activities.
About the role
This is an ideal opportunity for a proactive, detail-oriented all-rounder who enjoys variety and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll provide finance and admin support using job management systems, like AroFlo, and accounting software, while contributing to ongoing improvements in our processes and systems.
Your responsibilities will include
Supporting Accounts Receivable and Payable functions, including invoicing, account reconciliations, responding to customer and supplier queries, and debt recovery.
Performing day-to-day finance tasks such as bank reconciliations, receipting, and assisting with purchase order processing.
Assisting with process improvement initiatives and helping optimise internal systems.
Liaising with clients, suppliers, and contractors - making calls, sending emails, and providing updates to keep projects on track.
Providing general finance support, such as maintaining financial records, liaising with clients and suppliers, coordinating debt collection and assisting with reporting.
Assisting with maintaining supplier price and inventory data to support accurate quoting and financial reporting.
Ensuring compliance with company procedures and maintaining accurate documentation and records.
About you
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you’re a motivated team player who is also comfortable working independently, with a strong sense of initiative and ownership.
We’re looking for someone with
Essential:
High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment.
Solid understanding of accounts payable/receivable, and general accounting principles.
Good working knowledge of project coordination, with the ability to support finance-related processes and internal teams.
Advanced computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel knowledge and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Excellent communication skills and confidence liaising with clients, suppliers and internal teams with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
The ability to work autonomously under limited supervision with good time management and planning skills.
Desirable (but not essential):
Experience or knowledge in the Building & Construction industry.
Familiarity with AroFlo and Xero software.
2+ years of experience in finance/admin roles, ideally with exposure to AP/AR.
Experience resolving account discrepancies and handling finance-related customer queries.
