Our OOSH services have casual & part-time fixed-term positions available for out of school hours care educators.

What we're looking for in our team:

Highly desirable- ACECQA approved Certificate III level qualification or working towards this qualification (However, not essential for the right applicant)

Hold or be willing to obtain a paid NSW Working With Children Check

Hold or be willing to obtain Childcare First Aid (HLTAID004 or HLTAID012)

Hold or be willing to obtain Child Protection Training (CHCPRT001 or CHCPRT025)

Hold or be willing to obtain National Police Check (within the last 6 months)

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Actively supervise and effectively communicate with the children.

Ensure children's safety while in care.

Work within the MTOP Framework, Service Policies & Procedures, National Quality Standards, National Regulations & Child Safe Standards.

Participate in relevant professional learning as identified by the Nominated Supervisor.

Respond to the strengths, interests, and needs of the children.

Contribute to the recording of the observations of children’s learning and development.

Engage in critical reflections and provide input into future programming.

Engage and guide children in responsive learning activities.

Support an inclusive environment and the individual wellbeing needs of the children.

Guide children towards a sense of being and belonging within the service.

Respect, build and maintain positive relationships with the children and their families.

Proactively engage with team members and support a healthy environment.

Actively maintain a clean, hygienic and safe environment for children.

Successful applicants will be provided with an Employee Handbook prior to signing a contract of employment.

Our days of operation are-

Monday to Friday during school term, Before and After School Care (Crescent Head)

Monday to Friday during school term, Before and After School Care and Vacation Care (Aldavilla, Frederickton & South West Rocks)

These positions are approximately 27.5 hours week for part-time fixed-term staff plus broken shift allowance.

Above award hourly rate will vary based on qualifications, experience and certifications between $25.25-$30.30 per hour plus 25% casual loading (Children’s Services Award [MA000120])
