About Us

Koala Child Care Centre is a community-based early childhood centre dedicated to educating and caring for children from 8 weeks to 5 years. We are proud to be rated as Exceeding in all 7 Quality Areas. Located on the grounds of Sutherland Hospital, Koala Child Care Centre boasts a wonderful team of educators and a beautiful farm yard of gardens and chickens, in which we run our gardening programs with children.

We now have a rare opportunity for an experienced Early Childhood Educator (Diploma) to join our 3-5 year old preschool room Part-time (4 days per week), on a fixed-term, 12 month contract (maternity leave).

Candidates must have a minimum of 1-2 years of early childhood education experience.

We are seeking someone with a sound knowledge of child development and the ability to implement a play-based learning environment to strengthen our team of educators and enhance our centre.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

Must hold a Diploma of Children's Services

Have a Working With Children Check number or be willing to obtain one

Current child protection qualifications

First aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training

All required training certifications must be held before starting

Able to provide two (2) references
