ADD VALUE - THE ROLE
The Coordinator Economic Development plays a pivotal role in providing input into the growth and evolution of Singleton as the Council and community transition towards a post mining and net zero future.
The role is part of the Community Growth and Evolution Business Unit, established to integrate land use planning, sustainability, economic development and community development to deliver long term, sustainable community outcomes.
The role will need to hit the ground running in developing and leading a team that is responsible for the provision of economic development services to Council and the community in line with the Council’s strategic direction.
Importantly, the role will require high level strategic thinking to coordinate and communicate to a range of stakeholders economic data and trends that inform strategies, policies and programs related to the Socio-Economic Development Strategy, Investment Prospectus, Destination Management Plan, Super Easy Singleton and incorporate socio-economic outcomes within council’s Community Strategic Plan.
The successful applicant will be experienced in grant funding and application processes across all levels of government and have developed relationships with relevant Federal and State government agencies.
This position is offered on a permanent, full-time basis working 35 hours per week.
Remuneration package for this position is based on Grade 15 of Council's Salary System Protocol which equates to a base salary of $122,028 - $137,262 per annum plus $18,168 vehicle allowance and $12% superannuation.
